Barkhamsted’s Town Trails

Here’s the thing about Barkhamsted: It’s a wooded and rural town where almost all the land is owned by the state or the MDC. There are four state forests here, plus the massive Barkhamsted Reservoir and Lake McDonough.

And there are plenty of great hiking opportunities in town, but not much in the way of town owned trailed properties. In fact, I don’t think either of those listed below are located on town property. Eh, maybe the first one is (though I think it’s MDC land). The Camp is a Boy Scout reservation that I will have to “accidentally on purpose” explore.
