Bristol’s Town Trails
It may come as a surprise to some of you that there is any hiking to be had in Bristol. If that’s the case for you, I’m here to dispel your misconception. The CFPA’s Tunxis Trail has forays into Bristol, both from the north and from the south. Beyond that, the town has a few rather nice hiking areas as well as a weird land trust no one is aware of.
The longest walks most people take in Bristol are across the ESPN campus and across the Lake Compounce campus. Here’s hoping that some of you venture forth and check out a few of the actual woodland hikes available to you in town – free of charge!
