Everything Old Lyme
I’ve been exploring and writing about Connecticut since 2006. After a decade, I began compiling CTMQ guides for each town in the state. I plan on “completing” Old Lyme CTMQ-style… as well as the other 168 towns, cities, and boroughs in Connecticut. That is the ultimate goal of CTMQ.
If I’ve missed anything in town or if anything has closed or changed, please let me know.

April 30, 2018 at 11:09 amI would love to share with you all of the wonderful family activities available in the Old Lyme Arts District on Lyme Street! You’ve already experienced Studio 80 and the Lyme Art Association and Lyme Academy galleries, I hope you will consider coming to the Florence Griswold Museum, where your boys will enjoy “Can You Find Me” eye-spy cards to navigate the historic boardinghouse and art galleries. If you come by on a Sunday, your family can have a mini-art lesson on landscape painting and then we’ll give you all you need to go out on the riverbank or in the garden to paint your own masterpiece.
Lyme Street has great spots for lunch (or an ice cream!), musical performances, and as you’ve seen, art. Looking forward to your “completion” of Old Lyme!
