Everything Thompson
I’ve been exploring and writing about Connecticut since 2006. After a decade, I began compiling CTMQ guides for each town in the state. I plan on “completing” Thompson CTMQ-style… as well as the other 168 towns, cities, and boroughs in Connecticut. After all, that is the ultimate goal of CTMQ.
What do you know about the town that is most famous for being the true corner of the Quiet Corner? You can scroll down for my list of things to do in town. Or, as always, you can click on the town’s tag to see what I’ve done.
If I’ve missed anything in town or if anything has closed or changed, please let me know.

June 4, 2018 at 7:25 pmHey, my neck of the woods!
I can only hope that as an aspect of completing Thompson, you can help settle the most important and burning question IN Thompson — is the name of the village of North Grosvenordale properly pronounced “North Groves-ner-dale,” or “North Grove-ner-dale?”

October 19, 2023 at 11:07 pmIt may be helpful to add that the Rawson Mfg. covered bridge is on private property and a very unpleasant man will let you know so in no uncertain terms. The bridge itself has a new No Trespassing sign on it, the surrounding area is not marked but is indeed private.
